Air Conditioning in Marrakech: Choose and maintain high-performance solutions
In a warm climate such as Marrakech, air conditioning is the perfect solution for summer comfort. But it is also a major power station, and the IEA reminds us that cooling accounts for almost 20% of the electricity used in buildings worldwide. To reconcile comfort and controlled bill, three levers: the envelope (insulation), the correct dimensioning and efficiency of the equipment. On the equipment side, the ‘inverter' systems modulate the power continuously, limiting the on/off cycles and improving seasonal efficiency. Since 2023, North American standards use the SEER2 indicator, stricter than the historical SEER; even if Europe/Maghreb does not use exactly the same labels, the idea remains: the higher the seasonal efficiency index is, the less the device consumes. Good practices: annual maintenance, filter cleaning, fluid control, sealing of the gainable networks, setting of instructions (24–26 °C), solar protections (stores, sunbreakers) and hourly programming. SECOND WORK installs and maintains split, sheathable and multisplit solutions, ensuring dimensioning, acoustics and discreet integration (ceilings, chests).
